About the opportunity

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team to write proposals and letters to Trusts, research new opportunities, update our records and help to report back the successes those funds are being turned into by our the KEYS Project team.

Initially you will be trained and mentored by an experienced fundraiser who has been supporting us to establish a Trusts fundraising programme.  If you are looking for a flexible, high impact volunteering role where your skills will be valued and you will be able to grow your knowledge then please come and join us!

About us

Established in 2013, by Dr. Steve Smith, The KEYS Project is a church based detox programme whereby small church teams of volunteers are trained as ‘Detox Coaches’, helping people escape from alcohol and drug addiction through integrated medical, spiritual and community support. Dr. Smith is a GP Specialist in substance misuse and acts as KEYS Medical as well as its Project Director. He developed the charity’s vision whilst working as an addiction specialist in drug clinics. We have 35 volunteers working at 11 Churches around the UK, five part time staff whose combined hours comprise two full time people and our work is largely volunteer led.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with good verbal and written communication skills who also has some research experience, is good with numbers and has an ability to understand and translate financial information into funding proposals.  You might be someone who has just graduated who is interested in a career in fundraising.
